At Wakita Shepherds we have been breeding quality German Shepherds since 1994. Our goal is to breed puppies with sound minds in healthy bodies who become loyal companions, protective friends and beautiful family pets. We believe that dogs make us better people. Everyone should have the unique and wonderful experience of being loved by a dog. The following quote by Anatole France says it all : "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened". All of our dogs are valued family members and receive the love and attention they deserve.
We raise a limited number of litters per year to ensure that they are raised with love and placed with care.
As members of the Canandian Kennel Club, we abide by their Code of Practice for CKC Member Breeders.
Our Shepherds are all from some of the best champion Canadian, American and German bloodlines. They all have many obedience and conformation champions in their backgrounds including many who have attained their select and seiger ratings. They go back to the #3 German Shepherd for Canada in 1996.
Some of our dogs are involved in agility, pet therapy, obedience, tracking, herding and conformation.
All of our breeding stock is OFA, OVC or WCVM certified clear of hip and elbow dysplasia. All puppies are CKC registered, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated, vet checked and come with a written guarantee. We provide continuous after sales support and assistance to all of our shepherds and puppy buyers.
